More than 25,000 fans flock to the IU campus in Bloomington, Indiana, each April to take part in IU’s storied tradition. And who can blame them? The excitement, the competition, the pageantry—Little 500 is an experience like no other.

Mobile Tickets

Cashless Venue

Bill Armstrong Stadium is a cashless venue and only cashless payments will be accepted for purchases at this event. 

All major credit cards, Apple, and Google Pay are accepted.

Prohibited Items

Free parking will be available in IU Athletics parking lots. The following gates will be open for free public parking:

Gates 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14


Parking

All guests are subject to inspection. Please arrive early to allow adequate time to pass through security checkpoints.

 

Clear Bag Policy

Bill Armstrong Stadium has a clear bag policy in place for all guests. Only clear bags no larger than 12"x6"x12" and clutch bags no larger than 4.5"x6.5" are permitted. Click below for approved/non-approved bags.

Additional prohibited items for this event include:

• Food and beverages, including alcohol

• Noisemakers or sound amplification devices (including megaphones)

• Weapons or knives of any kind (including pocket knives)

• Seatbacks or cushions

• Cigarettes/e-cigarettes, tobacco products

• Bottles, cans, glass containers

• Strollers

• Umbrellas

• Laser pointers

• Chairs

• Large radios or TVs

• Pets

• Selfie sticks

• Signage that is constructed or displayed in a manner that may obstruct the view of other guests or in any way create a safety hazard for others as determined by event management

ADA Parking

Guest with accessible needs can be dropped off near the main ticket gate at Bill Armstrong Stadium off of Fee Lane. Vehicles will need to park in Gates 13 or 14 in IU Athletics parking lots after drop off. 

Doors Open

Gates will open at 2:30 p.m. Women's, 12:30 p.m. Men's 

Concessions

Food and beverages will be available at concession areas. Only cashless payment will be accepted.

Any disruption may result in ejection from the venue. Unauthorized interference with use of premises for this event and/or unauthorized entry into or upon the track area, the infield, or any restricted area may be deemed trespassing.  Violators will be subject to ejection and prosecution. Credentialed and race team personnel are only permitted in the infield area.

The Cause

Little 500 began in 1951 as a way to raise scholarship money for IU undergraduate students working their way through college, given thousands of scholarships over the years. Currently, the Little 500 supports the Students Helping Students campaign raises funds to benefit student-selected campus intiatives.
